Kayley Henry is a rising senior majoring in Biochemistry at Georgia Southern University. As an undergraduate student research assistant studying under Dr. Shank, she has garnered experience with mass spectrometry and high-performance liquid chromatography. Her work reflects a keener interest in its application for proteomics, as well as PFAS detection, quantification and analysis. Dedicated towards making a difference in healthcare in the future, she aspires to become a pediatrician, and to further engage in biomedical research beyond the undergraduate level. Outside of the academic world, she enjoys exercising her creativity through writing and baking.
Through the MSDT – One Health program, she hopes to gain further insight into toxicology and the One Health perspective as it relates to the medical field; she is also excited for the opportunity to broaden her mentorship network and explore more research possibilities.
