Bio

Sandra L. Taylor, PhD, is a Principal Biostatistician in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of California, Davis, where she also serves as the program manager for the Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) Program within the Clinical and Translational Science Center. She has over a decade of experience leading statistical analyses for collaborative biomedical research, with expertise spanning clinical prediction modeling, developmental and neuropsychiatric disorders, and burn injury outcomes. Dr. Taylor is the lead statistician for the UC Davis Health Analytics Core and serves on the Analytical Oversight Committee​​, guiding evaluation and implementation of clinical decision-support models. In addition, her collaborative work includes contributions to multi-center clinical trials, large longitudinal neurodevelopmental studies, and translational research in autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Trained as both a biologist and a biostatistician, she focuses on advancing robust research design, analytical rigor, and effective interdisciplinary teamwork in biomedical science.
