Dr. Kylie Rock is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Toxicology in the Department of Biological Sciences at Clemson University. She earned her BS in Biology from St. Lawrence University and her PhD in Toxicology from North Carolina State University, followed by postdoctoral training in neuroendocrinology and epigenetics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and ecotoxicology at NC State University. Dr. Rock directs the Repro-Eco Tox Lab, where her research investigates how environmentally relevant chemical exposures, including endocrine-disrupting chemicals, alter reproductive and developmental health in a sex-specific manner. Her work integrates mechanistic laboratory models, advanced transcriptomic approaches, and comparative studies using wildlife and marine microbes as sentinels of environmental exposure within a One Health framework. She serves in leadership roles within the Society of Toxicology, including President of the Southeastern Chapter and Junior Councilor for the Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology Specialty Section, and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, as Vice President of the Carolina’s Chapter, and has served as an Early Career Reviewer for NIH and a reviewer for NSF. Her research has been recognized with multiple honors, including NIEHS Extramural Paper of the Month and institutional awards for research and community outreach. Dr. Rock is actively engaged in teaching, mentoring, and outreach, and is committed to training interdisciplinary scientists while advancing translational toxicology that informs reproductive health, environmental stewardship, and public health.
