Emma Andrechek is a junior at Michigan State University earning her BS in Environmental Science and Management with a minor in Pharmacology and Toxicology. On campus, she is involved in a number of leadership positions furthering science communication through photography and videography, and engages in undergraduate research in Dr. Karilyn E. Sant’s lab studying the morphological effects of DDA, a water-soluble DDT+ metabolite, on embryonic zebrafish. She was first introduced to toxicology during an elective covering the history of chemicals in the environment and their impact. Since then, she has embarrassed her passion of environmental toxicology and looks to pursue a PhD after completing her undergraduate degree. The MSDT-One Health program continues to further her career through established connections with mentors and peers.
