Bio

Ari Goldberg is a senior at the University of California, Berkeley, studying Nutritional Sciences/Toxicology and minoring in music. Born in Berkeley, he attended pre-professional music programs as a violinist before shifting his focus towards science. On campus, he's President of the UC Berkeley Toxicology Association, an Undergraduate Student Instructor of organic chemistry, and a member of the University Symphony Orchestra. He performs metabolomic research using heavy water to measure metabolic fluxes in the lab of Marc Hellerstein and is completing a thesis on optimizing the implementation of a Produce Prescription Program at UCSF under the guidance of Hilary Seligman. Through MSDT One-Health, he hopes to gain mentorship in applying toxicological frameworks to understanding how people's food environments impact their health.
