Alisha Khan

Alisha Khan is a Freshman at Nova Southeastern University, majoring in Biology in the joint B.S./D.O. program. She currently conducts laboratory research under Dr. Ansari using western blotting techniques to examine how inflammatory cytokines regulate angiotensinogen expression in human liver cells. Moreover, her academic interests center on inflammation, human disease, and translational biomedical research. Through the MSDT–One Health program, Alisha hopes to gain mentorship, expand her interdisciplinary perspective on toxicology and human health, and present her research at the Society of Toxicology Annual Conference as she works toward a future career in medicine.
