MSDT-One Health Manager
La Cole Blackshire, MPH, LPN, SSGB, serves as the program manager for the MSDT-One Health grant initiative within the Molecular Bioscience Department at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. She manages all logistical and programmatic aspects of the STEM training grant. La Cole facilitates collaborations across various research groups and multiple academic institutions nationwide. She is a doctoral student in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. Her academic credentials include a Master of Public Health from California State University, San Marcos; a bachelor's degree with honors in Sociology, which included a minor in Philosophy, from California State University, Sacramento; and an undergraduate degree in Vocational Nursing. With over 30 years of experience in the biomedical field and more than 15 years of clinical patient nursing care, she focused her graduate research on community education initiatives concerning vaccinations.
