Bio

Khetzie M. González-Guerrero is a senior at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus, majoring in Toxicology with a minor in Chemistry and a growing passion for Marketing. She currently conducts research under the guidance of Dr. Jorge Agudo-Ruiz, studying bacteria found along Puerto Rico’s western coast and their resistance to different antibiotics. Her curiosity about how science connects to  

real-world problems drives her to keep learning and exploring new areas within toxicology. Khetzie has served as Secretary of the Student Society of Toxicology and enjoys being involved in opportunities that allow her to help others and grow both personally and professionally. Through the MSDT-One Health program, she hopes to gain mentorship, discover new perspectives in toxicology and public health, and continue finding ways to make a positive impact through her work.
