    Eligibility Requirements

    • Minimum cumulative GPS of 3.0
    • Completion of at least one semester of general biology and general chemistry
    • Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution at the time of application, with continuing enrollment for the next academic year concurrent with participation in the MSDT-One Health program
    • US citizen or US permanent resident
       

    Application Process

    • Complete the Student Application
    • Upload unofficial undergraduate transcripts, including all coursework and current enrollment, together with the application
    • Send the Reference Form to a faculty mentor who knows your academic and, if applicable, research performance. For example, you can send it to a faculty member who supervised or assessed you in a class, on an internship or on a research project

    Eligibility Requirements

    • Early career faculty, either currently appointed or new recruits, with clinical professional degrees (Ph.D., M.D., D.D.S., D.M.D., D.C., D.O., D.V.M., O.D., D.P.M., Sc.D., Eng.D., Dr. P.H., D.N.Sc., D.P.T., Pharm.D., N.D., D.S.W., Psy.D., or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited domestic or foreign organization) within 10 years of a degree.
    • Interest and ability to apply for research funding at the level of F, K or R grants
    • US citizen or US permanent resident.

    Application Process

    • Complete the Early Career Scientist Application
    • Upload an NIH biosketch
    • Submit two letters of support from two senior scientists familiar with your research interests, performance, and professional development. One letter must come from a current or prior mentor

    We invite you to apply to be a mentor in the Mentoring and Skills Development Training in One Health (MSDT-One Health). Funded by an NIH IPERT grant and based in the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis, the goal of this multi-institutional 5-year collaborative program is to train a cadre of scientists in transdisciplinary research at the toxicology and One Health nexus.
