Bio

 Jade Madsen is a junior at UC Berkeley majoring in Molecular Environmental Biology with a minor in Global Public Health. On campus, she is the vice president of Epsilon Eta, an environmental service and justice student organization, and is also an associate for The Green Initiative Fund, where she helps allocate funding for student and faculty environmental initiatives across all fields. She is also an intern for the Center for Environmental Health in Oakland, where she assists with data organization to support institutions in the purchasing of products free of chemical toxins.  

Having worked on antibiotic resistance research and computational biology projects, Jade hopes to pursue a career in population health, environmental health, and medicine--using science to inform policy pushing for global health justice and disease prevention efforts.
